Kuttava Chimmini Dam or Chimmony Dam is a spectacular view. The dam is situated near Echipara village in Thrissur district and is on the slopes of the Western Ghats. The dam overlooks the beautiful lake. Built across the Kurumali River, the dam was constructed in 1996. The water from the dam gently cascades into the lake.

Adventure sport lovers will enjoy the boat rides on the unique bowl-shaped boats. The boats are called Kuttavanchi Safari or coracle rides, or Turtle Rides and can accommodate four adults. Alternatively, you can opt for regular boat rides.

There are plenty of picnic spots along the dam. Infrastructure like park benches and tires for children to swing will make the experience more enjoyable. The wildlife sanctuary near the dam is popular. Visitors can try activities like bamboo rafting, camping, and trekking. You can spot the sambar deer, gaur, sloth bears, and Malabar squirrel at the sanctuary.

Hello Richa, Alcohol is not served in houseboat. However you can get it from the givernment approved shops for your personal consumption on the way and consume in the houseboat
