The summer months of April, May, and June bring along excess heat and humidity, making it difficult to be out in the streets or on the beaches of Kollam. Everything from traveling, sightseeing, and indulging in adventure activities becomes a hassle during this period.

Monsoon begins from June-end and stays till September, giving Kollam everything from heavy torrential rains to light drizzles. The temperature drops by a lot, but the humidity and heavy rainfall make it difficult to step out and explore. Accessing areas like beaches, forests, and lakes becomes difficult as all the natural terrain turns slushy and dangerous.

Kollam is in its best, most refreshed state right after the monsoon season ends. The revitalized, dewy greenery all around and cool winds make it the best time to take a trip to Kollam. Also, you still get to enjoy off-season prices during this time on transport and stays.
