Kuzhupilly Beach has recently been recognized by Ernakulam District Tourism Promotion Council (DTPC) as a potential tourists’ spot in Kerala. The aim of the DTPC is to promote it as part of a tourism circuit connecting Kuzhuppilly, Cherai and Munambam. The beach is named after a small village called Kuzhupilly. The road leading to the beach from the village is also a picturesque one. You will see Kochi backwaters on both sides during your journey.
The beach is a part of the Vypeen islands. Kuzhupilly Beach is 21 kilometres away from Kochi. Those visiting Ernakulam always come here to spend time with family and friends. It takes only 40 minutes to reach the beach from Ernakulam.
At Kuzhupilly Beach, the sea is calm and hence ideal for swimming. It is wonderful to see the small canopies lined up along the golden sand. The paddy fields and coconut groves add to the beach vibes. Many tourists visit Kuzhupilly beach to enjoy the beautiful sunset scene.
Kuzhupilly Beach is the venue for organizing Kite Festival, which has been a regular event here since 2000.
