Arrival at Cochin/ Proceed to Athirappilly
Be greeted on your arrival by our tour representative and take your very first glimpse of beautiful Kerala on a relaxing drive to your destination at Athirappilly Waterfalls. Enjoy the breathtaking scenery and peaceful ambience. Looks familiar? This is the area of forest and the very waterfall which featured in the film, Ravan, the residence of the character Veera.
Athrappilly is described as the Niagara Falls of Kerala, this eighty-foot high cascade of tumbling beauty cuts through the deep green forest to a lush emerald valley below and is truly a place of real beauty, a modern day paradise. Relax at your resort in Athirappilly in the evening.

Trip to Munnar
Munnar is your destination on the second day. This backdrop of tea, coffee and spice plantations criss-crosses the rolling hills, intersected with plunging valleys and waterfalls used to great effect in the film, Nishabd, the perfect backdrop to an erotic and passionate relationship played out by the principal protagonists, acted by Amitabh Bachan and Jia Khan.
Bachan’s character, Vijay, is a photographer, one of the reasons why this exotic and stunning location was chosen for the film. The way the landscape and the water are woven into the cinematography is pivotal and Munnar will certainly weave its magic on you. The Valara and Cheeyappara waterfalls are the perfect locations for some timeless and imposing images.

Munnar Sightseeing
After breakfasting on some authentic local cuisine, spend time exploring this beautiful hill station. There are plenty of activities for the energetic – horse riding, cycling and boating – a great way to see the landscape and appreciate its abundant beauty and the plethora of exotic wildlife.
Popular picnic spots in Munnar include Mattupetty where you can watch the many different varieties of cattle coming down to the water’s edge to drink and also wander along to the Indo Swiss dairy farm. If you fancy a quieter day, browse amongst the tea plantations clustered on the hillsides followed by a trip to the Tea Museum, a chance to learn more about this most famous of Indian exports.

Leave Munnar & head to Private Alleppey houseboat
If you know your music, then you will be familiar with the song, Jiya Jale, which comes from the film, Dilse, where Shahrukh Khan romances Preity Zinta and which was shot in Alleppey. Stay overnight on a classic Keralan houseboat which offers access to the tranquil and verdant backwaters. Berth for the evening and then dine on deck before falling asleep under the stars in your cabin with just the sounds of gently lapping water as your lullaby.

Cochin Sightseeing and Departure
Spend your final day at a leisurely pace, exploring Fort Kochi which is an eclectic mix of native tradition and the influence of past colonial invaders. St. Francis Church sits cheek by jowl with Jews Street and the Mattancherry Palace, a mixture of Portuguese and Dutch influences. The Chinese fishing nets at the harbour, named after their intricate design, are a signature piece of Fort Kochi. Wander amongst the bustling, colourful streets and savour your last taste of Kerala before you head back to the airport for your flight home.
