Get welcomed by our representative. The chauffeur will be glad to receive you and travel towards Thrissur to start a wonderful journey of South India. Thrissur is approximately 86 Kms away from Kochi and it takes almost 2 hours to reach the destination via car. Check in to the resort in Thrissur and head out for local sightseeing. Spend a relaxing night at the resort.

Thrissur-Thrissur
Thrissur is famously known to be the cultural and spiritual city of Kerala. The attractions of Thrissur include various temples like “Vadakkumnathan Temple”, “Patamekkavu Temple” and “Thriruvambadi Sri Krishna Temple”. The place is famous for its majestic churches known as “Our Lady of Dolours Syro-Malabar Catholic Basilica” and” Our Lady of Lourdes Syro-Malabar Catholic Metropolitan Cathedral”. “Our Lady of Dolours Syro-Malabar Catholic Basilica” is the largest church in India. The city is home to some amazing cultural annual events. Among all the events; Thrissur International Film Festival and Pooram are two most famous annual events celebrated in Thrissur. Other attractions of the place include Shakthan Thampuran Palace visit and Kollengode Palace Museum

It is time for sightseeing in Palakkad after a relishing breakfast in the morning at the resort. Palakkad famously known to be the land of Palmyrahs is home to a virgin hill station known as Nelliyampathy, tea gardens and coffee/ cardamom/ orange plantations. The intensive deep view of the rain forest of Nelliyampathy attracts tourists from all over the world. One can come across several waterfalls and streams in Palakkad. The rocky hill ranges make the place look even more beautiful. Another attraction of this place is Parambikulam Wildlife Sanctuary, which was formed in the year 1973 and is known for its rich bio-diversity.
In the evening, proceed towards Pollachi. It takes approximately 1 hour 15 minutes to reach the next destination. Upon arrival; check into a resort in Pollachi.

Munnar-Thodupuzha
Check out from the resort after breakfast and head out for local sightseeing in Munnar. The hill station Munnar of Idukki district situated over 5,600ft above the mean sea level is popular for its chilling weather and magnificent nature. It is popularly called the “Kashmir of South India”. Visit Eravikulam National Park of Munnar, which is home to endangered Nilgiri Tahr and other animals, birds and butterflies. This destination is most beautiful during the blooming of Neelakurinji when the hills are covered by purple hues due to the colour of the flowers. Mattupetty is another attraction of Munnar, which is famous for its picturesque landscape, hills, lake and masonry dam. One can even go for boating and horse riding in Mattupetty. Echo point is near Mattupetty and is a prime view-point of the purple Neelakurinji flowers during the blooming season. One can experience an amazing panoramic view of Munnar from this point and to hear one’s own echo. Pothanmedu and Poopara are known for the various plantations. Other attractions include Rose garden and Tea museum.
Later by the afternoon, proceed for your next destination that is Thodupuzha. Check into a hotel or opt for homestay in Thodupuzha to spend a comfortable night.

Check out from the hotel in Thodupuzha and hear towards the peaceful Alleppey. Check into a resort in Alleppey, a place famous for its backwaters. Alleppey is no just rich in flora and fauna but is also known for its beautiful beaches, handmade marine products, exclusive coir products and coir industry. Boat race takes place every year in Punnamada Lake of Alleppey.
One unique attraction of Alleppey is Kuttanad, which is popular for its exuberant paddy fields. It is the land of rice and one of those rare places where below sea level farming is done.

Overall excellent excursion for 8 days through the Kerela area with focus on Pulikali festival, and backwaters. Driver Anoop was well versed on the area and this allowed us flexibility.
