1.Laxmi Hills Ridge Trek<\/h2>\n

The trek will start with a walk through tea at an altitude of around 1450 MASL gardens about 30 to 40 minutes.\u00a0 On reaching the peak, trekking a couple of hours on the ridge through beautiful meadows with rocky cliffs slopes on one side and tea plantations on the other with occasional patches of shola the forest.\u00a0 On a clear day we can see Anamudi “South India’s highest peak”.We will too aprivate coffee in the Shola forest and pass through a cardamom grove high chance of seeing some of our local birds.\u00a0 At one o’clock we will have refreshments\/picnic lunch ideal place during trekking. 4. Meesapulimala Munnar Trekking<\/h2>\n

Built in 1857 by Harrisons and Crossfield, the Lockhart Tea Factory is one of the oldest tea factories still following the orthodox methods of tea processing. Quality green tea, black tea and expensive white tea. A walk through Lockhart Estate is amidst green carpeted tea plantations. Pampadum Shola National Park is the smallest national park in Kerala.\u00a0 It is 36 km from Munnar Town to Top Station.\u00a0 The drive to Shola National Park is long and winding; at least an hour will take us to some of the popular and scenic spots in Munnar. Mattupetty Dam, Eco-Point, Kundala Dam, Top Station etc. This is a unique experience to do\u00a0 trekking in Munnar through the world\u2019s largest shola forest<\/a> (tropical Montane forest) which\u00a0 is in Kanthalloor in Munnar<\/p>\n

Trekking along the National Highway the park will be constructed with the help of someone from the forest department.\u00a0 The trek will be 2 to 3 hours long and entirely through Shola forest. It has a diversity of fauna and flora unique to Shola.\u00a0 We were able to find most of them local birds of this region like Nilgiri Flycatcher, Kerala Laughing Thrush, Black and Rufous Flycatcher, Nilgiri Wood Pigeon and more.\u00a0 Also, this national park is also known for Indian Gaur, Sambar deer, Nilgiri langur, Nilgiri marten, Malabar giant squirrel, perhaps, the elephants.\u00a0 If it rains, there is a high chance of leeches in the area.<\/p>\n

8. Chinnar Wildlife Sanctuary Trek<\/h2>\n

Chinnar Wildlife Sanctuary is located 60 km from Munnar<\/a>, about a two-hour drive. Chinnar also has a high number of reptiles.
